An Afternoon at the Pond

Milkweed

Red Saddlebags Dragonfly (I think)

Common Pondhawk Dragonfly (I'm pretty sure...)

Female Cardinal

Bullfrog

Gulf Coast Ribbon Snake (Thanks Honey!)

It is amazing what you can see once you tune your eyes to look for it. The Spring Texas Master Naturalist Class of 2011 has shown me how to see.
Now it's up to me to learn about what I'm lookin' at.
This is ABSOLUTELY the best thing I could have done for myself and my children. Search out your local ag office, or wildlife office, or state park and find out if they have something like this.

It will change your outdoor time for the better.

Great pictures! So glad you have enjoyed the TMN classes--you are right, it is a great time learning from others with similar interests.
