Marbles and a Rainbow

Trading Day

The marbles have turned out to be a great buy. I have seen at least 28 different variations of marble games in the last few weeks. Some of the marbles are more desirable than others, apparently. This has led to a fierce bartering system that involves not only marbles, but also chores, culinary skills, and the last hot dog.:o)

The bigs have spent more than 15 hours in the last week with their marbles. Although this toy had a slow start I think it may be a keeper. I'm going to start looking for vintage marbles for them and see how that goes.
We walked out of the Library to this....

You can barely see it, but there's a sweet little slice of rainbow there. Auri was thrilled and it made her special "all by myself" trip to the library even better.

Marbles are a great invention. What great bartering skills the kids are developing!
